Accounting Recruitment Practices
Along with Professors Bujaki and Brouard from Sprott and Professor Durocher, from U of Ottawa, I have been working on a project which asks whether the recruiting materials used by CPA firms actually accomplishes its goals - recruiting a diverse and inclusive work force. John Murray Gibbon
I'm working on a biography of JM Gibbon, General Publicity Agent for Canadian Pacific Railway. Gibbon popularized the idea of Canada as a 'cultural mosaic' and was influential in branding Canada to Canadians, tourists and others. Read my CHARM 2011 paper here.

Off the Beaten Track with Caroline Borden Hinman
From 1913 to 1941, Caroline B. Hinman led 23 trips of women and girls into the Canadian Rockies. My research looks at Hinman as an early Canadian tourism entrepreneur. I also consider the consumption experiences of her clients, one of whom painted this image. You can find my presentation from the Mountain Studies Conference here.

The Land of Evangeline
For some time now I have been fascinated by the impact of Longfellow's poem on Evangeline-inspired tourism in Nova Scotia. Read one of my first PhD papers here.
